Thought you might find this a useful listen
Let’s talk Boundaries.
Every mom will know that big things happen after you have a baby.
You experience an identity shift, and your priorities change.
who steals a carry-on?!
I reached for my easy-to-carry blue Away suitcase in the back of our rental car’s truck to grab some extremely necessary sunblock for our daughter after landing on Maui.
I couldn’t help but admire the perfectly folded dresses and swimsuits.
Is it harder to get a new job when you don’t have one?
The short answer is no.
The nuanced longer answer is sometimes it is harder to find a new job when you don't have another job.
It’s not you. The system is rigged.
Last week someone I know was sick with a cough, runny nose and body aches.
They were only able to take naps throughout the day and incapable of doing any of their work.
my fatal flaw
I need to tell you something.
Yesterday my lips unbeknownst to me, turned up into a smirk across my face and our therapist noticed right way.
just in case you need to hear this today
I’ve been staring at photos of my daughter at daycare all day long.
While eating her lunch at a tiny table with her little friends, going down the slide and playing in the sandbox, she is too young to understand what’s happening in Ukraine, Texas and my hometown of Milwaukee (where another Black man died in police custody on Wednesday) right now.
you’re gonna love this, my friend!
Three years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter, I finally GOT boundaries and why they're important.
I had heard about boundaries before then but didn’t really understand what they were and of course, my people-pleasing tendencies and guilt ran deeeeep which as I bet you can imagine, made boundaries hard to uphold.

I had a very different email ready for you today.
However, everything shifted when my daughter was exposed to covid at daycare a couple of weeks ago.
My one-year anniversary
Have you heard of The 100 Day Project?
"Every year, thousands of people all around the world commit to 100 days of creating. Anyone can participate (yes, that means you!).
The idea is simple: choose a creative project, do it every single day for 100 days, and share your process on social media using the hashtag #The100DayProject.
The next round starts on February 13th."
update about my biggest goal in 2021
After years of feeling shame around my lack of attention to detail, I started to see that harnessing my strengths, rather than improving my weaknesses, was what was really going to get me ahead in my life and business.
Which birthday camp are you in?
You know I love to celebrate all things small and big.
And I’m definitely in the my birthday is a month long celebration that sometimes overflows into the next month camp.
And you also know that I’m a big cheerleader for you. Your success is my success (fo’ real)!
