Three tiny hummingbirds and a blank canvas

While spending Christmas vacation in Joshua tree in 2019 I decided that I would love to have a place down here where we can bring our daughter so that she can have both city where we live and then also desert and be able to hang out with our friends kids.

That same day I told my husband that if we found a part of land or a house that was within walking distance of our friends house that I would be willing to buy it and I would want to get it so that we could have that.

The next day it snowed. It snows once or twice in the desert just so you know I did not know that.

While my husband was out for a walk he saw a for sale sign hand written. He took a picture of it I called the guy the next week and we bought it within the next two weeks. It is directly next-door to our friends Airbnb. Literally right next door.

The land has nothing on it so we get to dream big and put exactly what we want on it. I am planning and dreaming of putting a retreat center on it. I’m so thrilled.

When the universe presents miracles like this one I gotta “say hell yes! Thank you, wow!”

My advice to you then is to start paying attention to the small miracles happening in your life.

If you don’t say thank you or appreciate them in the moment, it may be a very, very long time until you see another one.

Sometimes miracles show up as big things like houses or land or jobs.

Other times miracles show up as a cup of coffee handed to you in bed.

A postcard sent to you unexpectedly from a friend.

A parking spot that appeared out of the blue.

A miracle is just something that didn’t take much effort on your part. It’s being in charge of the “what” and not the “how” or the “when.”

I’m sure your life is filled with miracles.

Please email and tell me about a recent or past miracle that still gives you chills that happened to you or someone else.

BIG hugs and love,

-Nic

PS. Yesterday I saw three hummingbirds playing around. That seemed quite miraculous. The same hummingbirds were flying around everyone else that was at the pool but they weren't watching for miracles. Keep your eyes peeled. You never know what's going to land in your lap.
